The California Copyright Conference Reservation System

Please help the CCC provide an enjoyable experience for everyone by using our reservation system.

Here's how it works.

We must provide exact meal numbers to the catering managers by the deadline. They use these numbers to determine how much food to order, what size room is needed, how many tables to set up, and how many servers to schedule for our event.

What happens if many people try to make reservations after the deadline has passed? In some cases, we may be able to make small additions to the number of meals that have been ordered. However, this is not always possible, especially for a large event where seating is limited. It is never possible to make additions on the day of the event. In most cases, guests who have attempted to make reservations after the deadline must be treated as having no reservation.

What happens if many people attend without reservations? Our caterers are usually prepared to serve a small number of extra meals (usually about 5% of the total). However, large numbers of guests without reservations mean that there will not be enough tables to seat everyone, not enough staff to provide efficient service, and not enough food to serve everyone. This may also cause the evening's presentation to be disrupted or delayed.

We have always welcomed "walk-up" attendees at our dinners, and hope that we will always be able to do so. Because seating is limited and food supplies are finite, we must give precedence to those who have valid reservations.

What happens when people make reservations but do not attend the event? The CCC is contractually obligated to pay for all meals that we order, even if they are not actually served. This is true even when someone "cancels" a day or two before the event.

The CCC and the Sportsmens Lodge make every effort to accomodate everyone who wants to attend our monthly meetings. The reservation process is the foundation of planning and hosting these events. We appreciate your understanding, cooperation and professional courtesy.
